Over the years VFS has developed a comprehensive transport network providing coverage across Victoria.  Please find a summary of this network.

• The service currently provided and on offer for the future allows for a daily ongoing pick up from Melbourne metro or drop in with overnight distribution to a network of 23 Agents.

• The Agents located in strategic country towns, service client customers as required.  VFS being the largest client of the Agents ensures that service levels extended are the best available.

• In addition to this, the stable relationship of the Agents to VFS ensures that the customer requirements are fully understood and met.

• Victorian Freight Specialists offers an overnight service to its clients.  VFS controls a fleet of 12 tautliner vehicles in the metropolitan area that carries out a daily pick up service for specific clients.  The freight is transported back to the Clayton terminal, 45,000 sq ft under cover.

• Personnel at the terminal are available to pick and pack and/or cross dock for clients.

• A dedicated line haul fleet of mezzanine floor, drop deck trailers leaves each night and drop throughout the night at Agents depots.

• Agents commence deliveries to receivers or load deliveries on to on-forwarders who service outer country areas.  99.9% of freight is delivered overnight.

• Agents fax a daily report to VFS customer service by 11.00 am highlighting discrepancies etc. and this report receives immediate action.
